what do you take with you when you take the bike and the misses/girlfriend/partner away for a weekend run  :scratch_one-s_head:

with the misses maybe a hair dryer

with the girlfriend maybe high expectations

with the misses and the girlfriend oooh no thats not a good idea

I tend to pack the panniers along the lines of a his and hers in light bags and maybe wet weather gear and bits and pieces in the top box.

BUT no matter how hard we try there is always stuff that never sees the light of day but it still keeps tagging along, so what works for you
I have kleptomania,
but when it gets bad,
I take something for it.

weekends away, hmmmm don't understand the question  :scratch_one-s_head:  , , but would be a tank bag for me , and the 86lt rjays bag for her
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

I give her one of my side cases, and say " You can bring whatever you want, as long as it fits in here"
I use the other one for my clothes, and toiletries, plus wet weather inserts for the jackets, and spare bulbs and junk for the bike.
The top case usually gets our helmets when we park.

Thought this little "how to instruction guide" may help. Works for me, not sure about the budgie smugglers though!

A life has been well lived, if you have planted trees under who's shade you do not expect to sit.

I'm told I'm cynical, pessimistic and generally miserable. I say that I'm realistic! The fact that reality sucks is not my fault!

That link doesn't work for me.  All I got was a list of Mr Bean clips :-(

Well, first up, it's just me and my beloved pooch in this house, so EVERY run is pillion free.  Which is a shame, as I feel guilty leaving the dog when I go out for a run.

I could opt for a sidecar set up, so I can take him too, but for now, it's just me, on my ownsome, with no nagging or nattering/back seat driving via the bluetooth headset.

But - in my panniers (everyday) I carry:

Right Side:
100amp jump leads
Selection of fuses
All bulb types for bike (wrapped in cotton wool in a plastic tub
Roll of electrical tape
Roll of Black or silver duct tape
Large tool kit (spanners/pliers/12inch shifter/screwdrivers/hex-head key set etc)
Can of Tyre weld (puncture repair in a can)
Tub of hand cleaner
Small hand towel
Can of brake cleaner (cleans the oil from me rear tyre)
Roll of kitchen towel (paper roll)
Bungee cargo net
6 various length bungies

Left Side:
Padded waterproof one piece suit.
Spare dry gloves
Dry socks
Boot laces
Spare Visor
Hi-Viz Vest
Large rubble sack (DIY store black poly bag - heavy duty - ideal for setting down and kneeling on wet ground, and laying out tools)
500ml bottle of mild soapy water (cleaning visor)
2 x 6 inch square of shammy leather
Basic first aid kit
Photocopied documents (tax disc/insurance/drivers licence)

Top Box / case:
Usually empty
Very rarely travel with this, unless shopping or rallies etc.
