Hello, what are others using for preload tube length as a starting point?
Springs are the Race Tech 1.0 version (non progressive) in 1989 forks  on a 1985 FJ1100 .
I weigh 200lbs, without riding gear.
Thank you,
Tony

If you've chosen the correct spring rate then a spacer length that gives about 15 to 20mm of preload is usually a good starting point.

Set the preload adjuster on the second setting, that way you can still back off one notch for fine tuning.

Cut the spacer for 20mm preload initially, you can cut it shorter if needed
