Rear Brake Rotor Upgrade Options

Hi everyone. Looks like I need a new rear brake rotor. Can anyone give me good ideas on options? I know this isn't the most pivotal part of my bike but if I'm replacing it and there's something better out there I'd like to consider it. Alternately, if I can't get a cool upgrade, does anyone know where I can get a cheap one stock rotor?

Thanks!

I have some stock parts left over from my upgrades. One rear rotor and both of the front. However the fronts are currently under spec so not the best investment. I need to measure the rear rotor for any life left in it, if you are interested.

Bwahahaha! :diablo:
Father Pat is my inspiration!

The nice thing about polished aluminium over painted, is NO paint chips!
But then again, if everyone did it, it wouldn't stand out as much, now would it?

Besides, don't you know that pink and polished go hand-in-hand!!? LOL!

I also have the Galfer rear rotor, although I am not happy with the pads that came with it.........I think this winter i am going to replace them with some better pads.

very true about no chips, and if we all polished the price of metal polish may be cheaper  :good2:

Thanks for all the info everyone! I'm interested in this Galfer disk (but let me know what you want for that spare rear if it's good Monkey!). Can anyone recommend a good place to find one? I'm looking around and they all look different, not like the ones on your bikes. I want to make sure I get the right one and the best one. I wish Randy at RPM sold them.

Can I use the old pads or do I need special ones?

I want to shine my pieces! I did that on parts of an old BMW I once had, looked pretty silly but it was fun!

I bought my rear galfer COPY  on eBay $60 I think, but free postage lasting well,  works great hasn't buckled or rusted  :good2: and matches the front wavy ones

I will check it today and if it has any life left I will let you know.
