Ok, just got my new Avon tires on my fj. Just curious what pressure you are running.  Don't want the front to ripple like my last michelin.

38 front /42 rear is what I use.

I've had 2 Avon fronts, and ran the first one at 32-34 psi and got a fair about of cupping.  Less cupping  @ 38psi.

+1  on the cupping, i used to use bridgestone battleaxe tyres 36/38 front used to cup bad , but high crowns on the roads here also cause it

I like a lot of air in front tyre so not to get cupping. Under heavy braking there is a lot of weight on the front wheel. Avons stick very well grip should not be a problem enjoy! Remember to brake the edges of those tyres in.
