I had promised some pictures a while back,  here are some shots taken yesterday of the old girl. Sorry about the average quality,  only have my cell phone as a camera.   125,000km and 28 years old....  She's got issues,  but I like to say that she's got character.

bien venue mon frere et mon ami.......... j'aime votre motocyclette. Excuse a moi mon Francais terriible.....J'etudie seulment 5 anes a l'ecole secondare. J'espere tu assistere a cette anns au norde-est rallier dans le Maine. Il y aura beaucoup de Canadiens nous ont. Essayez si vous le pouvez y'etre......... il serait un grand plaisir de vous rencontrer et avoir un ami qui parle français avec.......Vive les Nordiques !!!!!!!!

Salut CanDman,

Je ne pense pas pouvoir me libérer pour le NE Rally cette année.  Malheureusement,  je travail les weekends et je garde mes vacances pour aller à L'Ile du Prince-Édouard et la Baie de Fundy en août!

I wish I could make it to the NE rally,  it's only 4 hours away and looks like it could be hella good times.  I would love to meet up with the guys and just chill out with a bunch of cool bikes all around and perhaps gather a tip or two while I'm at it...   

Hopefully next year my work schedule will be a little more forgiving!!

Oh well.......work must come first........I was in PEI.......when I ran the cabot trail 2 years ago......was actually on the ride back to Toronto.........crossed a hell of a bridge off the Island........we should orginize next years rally through Cape Breton ...I'll wait till everyones had a few wobly pops and run it by the group at the camp fire...at this years rally.......maybe they'll bring back the Ferry service into Nova Scotia from Bar Habor


I wished I could have spent one night in Quebec city......

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to say hey!  I the proud new owner of a 1984 FJ1100.  This is my first bike,  and until now,  I'm loving it!! She's all original,  even has the "Chin fearing" (although not 100% intact).   The bike is in great shape given it's 27 years of age,  and 113,000km!!

Looking forward to chatting and surfing around on this forum.  Seems to be a great community and generous information.  Hope I will be able to contribute with write-ups and pictures of my own.

On the short list for the bike:
Battery
Rear Tire
Small shimmy (very subtile) during cornering that I have to address

Other than that, she seems to run just fine!!

Gday Pete got 1 just like it with 140,000 ks on her & still going fine , re that shimmy , check your head Set bearings if if feels unstable thru corners  and  your adjustment on the front forks may be off , i just had my front shocks done up & re-bushed the rear , now its feels so rigid thru corners its beautiful , good luck she looks nice ,anything i can help you with just write and the rest of the group will chime in to help for sure there a great bunch from all over;
