A miracle - this guy walks away from a 80km/h (50mph) smash. Title is "Thought: before, during and after the big bang" in Slovenian (according to Google translate)

I don't see him walking away.  I'm guessing that the person shown at the end is his riding buddy coming over to assess the damage.  ?

The text at the bottom says:

"Emergency department. I say, do not panic, just boot to put down. Oops, a large hole in the leg. How is it that I was not hurt? The hole is to the bone."

I doubt that such an impact would be survivable and if so not without severe injury. If the guy is the rider or a buddy I'd think the last thing he would worry about is the camera. On closer look the post impact video dosn't look right. If it's fake then it's a very good fake.

I believe it's real, I just can't imagine anyone not just laying in a heap after hitting a car at 50mph. I did it when I was 15 years old on my dirt bike while going  about 25 MPH, and walked away from that with just a broken collar bone, so I guess it's possible.

I was trying to figure out if the camera was on the bike or the rider.  I think it's the rider.  If you look at the shadow of the video, the rider seems to be wearing a back pack.  The guy that runs up to the accident looks like a biker, but is not wearing a back  pack. I guess he could have taken it off.... Oh well, I'll go back to watching my 'Columbo' reruns now.  :sarcastic:

Either way, he was going faster than his line of sight, that's for sure.  Slovenian roulette I guess.  That's why they don't have driveways on race tracks.

The video is a good reminder for me not to exceed my line of sight stopping distance.  It takes some of the fun away at times, but watching someone T-bone a car puts it all in perspective.

Wow, rider error anyone?  Too fast for conditions/line of sight!  And at least try to swerve a little or something...  Or brake.  The bike lost all of 500 revs from the time the car entered the view until impact!

..... What was strange, did not see any signs, showing there is a side street ahead.

SlowOldGuy

If we had to ride like there was a hidden driveway around every bend in the road, bikes wouldn't be worth having.

I've had my share of close calls, mostly during my 30 mile commute in traffic and mostly from drivers swerving into my lane during rush hour.  The idiots that pull up from a side street and look directly at me are the ones that really scare me,  Do they really see me?

Even worse when they pull out, realize that you're coming, then they HIT THE BRAKES AND STOP RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU!!!   Leaving very few options ....

can think if one race track with driveways ,, isle of man ,, doubt that guy would do much better on race day there  :wacko3:

The rider of the first video was crap. Taking the wrong lines through the bends, Right hand bend, keep to the left to extend your view of the road. Same for left handers.
