How many of you guys flip your front sprocket to wear both sides of the teeth before you throw it away?
How many miles can you get before flipping?

fj11.5

never bothered as I'm guessing it would chew up the chain sooner
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

I've done 42k miles on my FJ and the sprocket still looks pretty much new.. Scottoilers; they may throw oil all over your numberplate, but they seem to make the chaingear last ;)

If you flip the sprocket you will get a brand new surface for the chain.  I could never do that with dirtbike chains because they only fit on one way. One side has a spacer built into the sprocket, but one these bikes [84-1100] one can flip it.
