Changing spark plug wires

I have a 84, and one of my plug wires is broken and keeps popping off. How do I change them on the stock coils?

Popping off the plug?  Get a new NGK cap.... I got mine from a local independent shop for $2.99.

Popping off the coil? Don't know, haven't had that issue....

The wires are too tight to cut them and install a new cap. They barely fit already.

I don't know if the wires are replaceable or not, never had to with mine...  It looks like they may unscrew, like the caps, and appear to have some shrink sleeve on the coil end, helping to retain them, maybe.

they will come apart just not easily ,, could also be difficult to screw new ones in   (popcorn)
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

They're screwed in and tight.  Replacing the wires is doable though.  You'll have to put a slight bevel on the new wire to get it in, and it helps to use an awl in the end of the new wire to help it get started.  Strong hands and at least three beers are necessary.

Aftermarket coils are available from a variety of sources, and other dual-output OEM coils could very probably be adapted without much fuss if their specs are similar.
