Come down under and work in the Mines or as a Tradesman.
The entry Visa requirements have been freed up for Seppos coz we are brother nations.

CLICKITY CLICK for visa info.

You'll easily earn U.S $60,000 + for six months work.
Equipment operators (Haul Trucks, Bulldozers, Excavators etc) are in particularly short supply, you'd be on U.S $50 -&75 an hour with free accommodation, meals, health care etc.

Most Aussie jobs have four weeks paid holiday, and if you are working in the Resource sector you'd work for two, three or four weeks then have a week off.
Plus 12% of your earnings are paid by the employer into your 401K

You folks oughta be more trusting of Klavdy.  He's telling the truth here, not trying to lure you down the garden path.
This doesn't seem to be an April Fool's joke, if only because the government has no sense of humor.

They have streamlined the whole process of getting qualified US tradesmen (and women??) to Australia.

Check it out starting with Klavdy's link.

Here's a LINK to just one of many employment sites for operators of machines like bulldozers, cranes, graders etc.

Check it out.
That link is for Fly In/Fly Out (FIFO) jobs.
If you put a different keyword in, say electrician or carpenter, make sure you add a "+" sign after the keyword then put in "FIFO.
Like this :Electrician+FIFO

FIFO means you get flown to remote sites from just about anywhere in Australia you care to base yourself.
The camps are modern, own en-suited room, gyms, swimming pools, tennis courts, cable TV,wet mess (pub) etc.
The flights are paid for, so are meals, accommodation, uniforms, health care, 401K's etc.
The Australian dollar is worth MORE than the U.S dollar.
Currently, 1 Aussie dollar will buy 104 U.S cents.

FIFO can also mean Fit In Or Fuck Off.
If you get all whiny arsed, you'll get a window seat.

Here is some food for thought.
Yes you can have a good job, lots of disposable cash and a pretty good break between shifts. BUT, but you also have the other side of the coin. It all sounds really attractive provided you are disciplined.
From what I have observed (I was doing FIFO for over 16 years), a hell of a lot of young people and some not so young, are lured by the money. They go to site for their 2,4 or 6 weeks on, come home for a weeks break and suddenly have, lets say 10k+ in the bank. First thing they have to do, is go out and buy (on hire purchase normally) a big screen TV, surround sound system, fully loaded V8 Ute, jet ski, FJ1200  and etc. Not a problem paying them off, I'm on good coin....
GF or Wife demands a flasher house and a holiday because she never sees you, no problem, just go to the bank and get more money.
12 months down the track, you HAVE to do FIFO work to meet all the repayments. Also, your GF or wife pisses off because for the first few days you are home, you are too buggered to give them the attention the want/deserve, the kids hate you because you are too tired to play with them, and your roster doesn't allow you to take holidays at the same time the kids are off school.
Divorce comes through, your on good money so the child support is killing you. You still have to make all the repayments, even though your wife and her new boyfriend took all the "toys".

Don't get me wrong, it is a good life, provided you are disciplined with your money, your expectations are not unrealistic, you set a time frame to achieve you goals (and stick to it) and your partner is supportive (this is the really important part).

I finished FIFO work 2 years ago and was lucky enough, to have achieved the goals I set, well most of them anyway. There are a lot of people I worked with that didn't.

Cheers

You are to right I used to listen to the kids working in the oil patch pre resion say that the could not survive on less that 10,000 a month. guess what happened
to them?
Others I have met would like to quit and re train but their debt load is to high to quit and they are stuck working.
Fit in or f#*K off I like that, it is to true of camp work. Oh well it's a great life if you don't weaken

Damn - this kind of work really sounds like my style.

Only problem is I am not over qualified for most jobs (ie I dont have the qualifications )but apart from that I still have a contract to finish in my current job..oh well if shit falls through this is actually tempting

Thanks for the link Klavdy

Hmmm.
It's open to Seppos.
Not real sure if it's open to Souties of Boers, Soap Dodgers and Kiwogs are treated differently too.
Bogtrotters are welcome, so are Porridge Wogs.
