Saw this bike for sale in Sweden a while ago, looks like a strange breed of FJ to me.
The ad says it's an '86. Not the white/red type it seems...

Have I missed something here?

That bike has a fighting chance to be an 86' The screen shape looks proper except for the AM taller screen. The side scoops look proper, The AD units on the forks are a big clue. Stock looking calipers. The wheels look like stock 86'. Front blinkers are right for 86' but the rear look AM. And the polished headers means they are SST, also proper for 86'. Mirrors look stock as well. I would say it is an 86'.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

But they don't appear to be '86 mirrors...

Looks damn close to the stock mirrors I pulled of my 86'.

Maybe.  The pic was pretty dark (poor work computer monitor), but they looked straighter, like 3rd gen.

Now that I've got a better screen to look at, they do look like 2nd gen parts.      :flag_of_truce:

If he got rid of the red stripe and replaced it with white, it would look pretty good.
