Which clutch and brake M/C upgrade do you folks think is the best one? The FJR upgrade or a R1 set. I want to do this mod when I install my new lines. I am also going to do slave rebuild while I'm at it. Not to give Randy a hard time but I managed to get one from my local dealer for$20, the slave rebuild kit that is. Still am going to order some parts from Randy. Randy do you recommend the Barnett clutch spring or just use the second stock type spring. Thanks for any input, Big R

Big R,

Was your slave kit from the dealer the two piece Yamaha kit or did you get all with all five part like the one I sell? If you go the complete kit, then you have a Yamaha dealer that doesn't make excessive mark up on their price and wants your business. Mine is still cheaper, and I cannot control shipping cost.

If it was the two piece kit, then you are comparing coal to diamonds...

I sell more clutch springs that conversion kits, but I personally have a new single clutch spring on my wife's bike and a double on mine. But, I have both in stock for the options for each and everyone

Randy as far as I can tell it is the 5 piece kit. It is supposed to be in this week and I will let you know for sure. This dealer has been pretty good, I bought a front fender from them and it was only55 bucks. They even found a new petcock for the 86 and it was 115 dollars, when boats said it was discontinued. I know you can't control the shipping costs and I will still order the other parts from you be cause I can't get them as cheap up here. I think that you do a great service for us FJ owners and I am very thankful for that. I ordered some Delkevic cans for the bike so I have to wait to place my order with you. Thanks for your reply and like I said I will let you know for sure about the kit. Big R
