A hello from Wiltshire

Hi all,

New to this forum but not to the FJ1200.
Been into biking since 1987 whilst still living in the Netherlands
This is my second FJ1200 (first was a 1986, this is a 1992 with ABS)
Always had Yamahas, started with a XJ750 Seca followed by the first FJ1200.
Then got a XJ750 Maxim-X and later a VMX1200 (hence VMax)

After moving to the UK I bought a Thundercat but couldn't get on with it so it went.
Finally found the bike I wanted and now back to FJ ownership.

Got a lot of catching up to do and hopefully find usefull info on here as well as posting some (I hope).

Anyway thanks for the welcome and all.

As I bought it with a service and 3 months warranty I spent the last two weekends doing:-

• Upper steering bearing replacement
• K&N airfilter
• R1 Calipers and new pads
• Checked the spark plugs and found two loose
• Frame bolts re-torqued as also loose
• Carb sync
• Clutch bleed
• Chain lube

Not bad for a bike with recent service and MoT
