Installed the RPM oil filter adaptor, new exhaust port gaskets, going to try to tighten up the collector to midpipe joint(leaks like mad, I hate this V&H pipe), changed the oil, and replaced the voltage regulator with an external one. I'm getting tired of filling the battery, then having to clean the corrosion off the swingarm and muffler. Ok, so I have only had to do it once. I think that is plenty. Gotta get ready for spring!

your wiring is thanking you for replacing that voltage regulator.

if it were me i would put a new ground wire to the rear of the engine.... all the overcharging will make the ground wire crunchy..... not to mention the extra resistance just from old age.     trust me its really bad when the system loses ground.

KOokaloo!

Racerman,
I appreciate the suggestion on the ground wire, I will replace it before I get back on the road. I cut a piece of 30 ga. sheet metal to shim up the space in the collector/midpipe joint. Made it pretty snug, ought to leak a lot less.
