Float adjustment ?

Well i made a stand to hold my carbs and i'm checking float height by using
a tube off the drain nipple. My ? is my manual says 2 to 4 mm above the line
on the carb bowl. Do they mean above the gasket surface of the bowl? Seems
like that would be to high?

Hi Jerry.

I'll prefix this with "I'm not an expert but..." I would agree that 2-4mm above would be too high.I would guess that 2-4mm below would be closer to the mark.I have never tried this method.I have always just set the float height (22mm) on the bench with the bowls off.I'm sure a more knowledgeable member will chime in.
