I couldn't leave it alone so this weekend I started and yesterday after work I finished the changes that had to be done. I took the supertrapp 4-1 pipes off my '84, swapped out the stock headers and collector with F1 slipons that came on the '86. I rejetted it and took out the air box and K&N in box filter for V&H pods. I had previous dj kit's for the stock '84 and '92 carbs and a spare set of '92 carbs with a dj kit but I had taken them apart and stored them when I put the keihin cr carbs on the '84 5 years ago so I did not remember what jets I had in! But after a day of fiddling it is screaming now maybe need to drop the needles or raise the pilot jet for a slight 1/8th to 1/4 throttle slight burble but these are minor considerations as the bike starts ,idles and runs awsome. It is good to have to pull yourself onto the tank when accelerating as your arms get straightened and you run out of tach before you run out of acceleraton!
Mid and top end much stronger now. It runs so good I think I'll just leave the dyna ignition and coils on the '84 for now  :yahoo:
