Has anyone owned the Motad system. Im in the godforsaken humid state of
WI and the rust is starting. I dont short trip my bike usually but I was wondering if
its necessary and possible to drill weeps on the bottom or if that would just be asking for trouble.

The little rust Im getting is exterior and probably not related to condensate.

Any opinions, experiences..
Thanks

I had a Motad Neta system on my FJ. The system mostly isn't stainless steel, just the cover on the silencer. It lasted fairly well. I replaced the collector box after 7 years/50k miles. It hadn't corroded but cracked. The silencers lasted another 4 years/38k miles. By this time they were totally shot with corrosion inside and under the s/s cover. The downpipes are still on the bike after 15 years/105k miles. I live in Scotland which is also pretty damp. The only suggestion I can make to preserve the silencers is to keep then clean.
