Hi,

I'm French and I'm not really good in english.
Age : 47
In love with my Princess since 1986.
We have 3 girls (14-12-10).
I've buying one month ago a FJ 1100 (36Y).
It's necessary to repair it a little but it's a good motorcycle.

Est ce que vous avez autre motos?

Avez vous vister les etats unis? Quelle etats?

J'ai visitez France seulement un fois, en 2001.  Mais on parle Francais en Quebec, et je fais du ski a Mont Tremblant et Mont St. Anne.

Je n'ai pas d'autres motos. Pas assez d'argent, et ma femme et mes filles passent avant la passion de la moto.
Non, je n'ai pas visité les USA pour la même raison : pas assez d'argent.
Mais nous sommes heureux tous les 5.

I haven't another motorcycle. Not enough money, and my family is most important than my passion of motorcycles.
I can't go and see the united states because of money.
But it's not important.
We are an happy family.

Funny thing about money, and family,  and motorbikes.

I bought my first motorbike in 1980 precisely because I did NOT have enough money for a car. 

$550 U.S. for a 1972 Honda 500-4 with 13,000 miles.  Because I had no money, I did most of the work on it myself (clutch, tune ups, head gasket, etc). Rode it four years and 20,000 miles, all the way through law school, before the oil pump went (on cue - the very month I was graduating).

Then I had a family.  Two wonderful girls.  I stayed off motorbikes while we were raising the kids. (Did race bicycles though - good for your health)

Both kids are grown.  Gonna be a grand dad in March!  I fully expect my son in law to make me hide the motor bikes from my grandson.  And I will comply, of course.  No need to inflict this disease on my poor daughter and her family.  (Besides, I want the grandson to race bicycles, not motorbikes.)

I am retired now and the garage is FULL of motorcycles.  Partly because I made a nice income, but just as much because I followed the same habits literally forced upon me when I was younger.  Bought good cheap cars (Subarus - the BEST) instead of showy BMW's. Did lots of my own work on the cars, the house, the yard, etc..  Avoided expensive travel when I was young and building assets.

So in my case, at least, not having a lot of money as a young man was truly a blessing.

Life is funny thay way, huh?
