Went for ride this afternoon to Crystal Lake. Beautiful day 70 degrees and clear. Love that ride. About 3:30 and almost back home at Foothill and Baseline I greeted a red/white FJ going the opposite direction. Anyone here?

Hey Mike! haha I just posted about this sighting the other day in my intro thread:
http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=5535.30
Pretty random to run into you on here! haha
I was headed back to my parents house in Upland from a Glendora Ridge Road run from the Mt. Baldy side -> Glendora w/ my girlfriend on the back.
That was me on my 85. What year was your bike? It was a 1200 I think?

Anyways, small world!
I live in San Diego, but am from Upland, and my parents still live there. I'm back up there every now and then.
I'll let you know next time I'm in town with the bike, would love to go for a ride.
Where is Crystal Lake?

Hi Evan,
Cool that you caught mt post. Sorry I missed yours, I should check the intros more often. My bike is an 86, bought it new, I still cant ride very well. I was coming in from the same ride, opposite direction, except insted of going to Baldy, I went toward San Gabriel Canyon West Fork and rode back on the 210. I do do the Gendora Road, Mt Baldy, Crystal lake runs often (backyard for me). Crystal Lake is the end of the line on HWY 39. When you came down from Baldy insted of taking the left turn to GMR go right. It really is a nice run, especially once you get past "the bridge". Definitely let me know when you are in the area and we shall take the ride. Allowing 2 hours is plenty in case you need to work it in with your visit with your folks. I also will let you know when we have ride planned in your neck of the woods. Are you aware of the FJ West Coast Rally (WCR)? Try to go. It is early June in Porterville this year. Great guys. I am pretty much the only ass hole. Check the this site for details.
