Tire Pressure Monitor Caps

While looking around at different TPM systems (and reading Pats old post http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=3414.0), I came across these "monitor caps" that seems like cheap option compared to the electronic solutions I've looked at so far. Wouldn't tell you if you're pressure drops while riding, but I guess still would prove to be useful.
Anybody fitted these to a bike?

I bought a set to try recently.  NOT the ones in your link.
Only 3 worked at all, and I was unimpressed that they work by depressing the schraeder valve thus becoming the ONLY item to prevent loss of air pressure.  (yeah, I should have realized this)

Anyhow, I decided I didn't trust them and tossed them in the bin.

Cheers,
Arnie

I've read accounts that those cheapie caps are very unreliable and leak.  I've been using Tiregard for a couple years.  They are also caps, but are more robust and have a wireless link to a fob display.

Just a note, the display I have shows a sport bike and not a Wing, FWIW.

You've certainly got me beat in the tech stakes.
I can do a lot of knee bends and guage reads for the $160.00 of your system.

Cheers,
Arnie

I've had the system save my butt twice, once for a fast leaking front while riding home from work and the second time I got a nail in a brand new Angel ST and it showed low pressure when I got to the garage at work.  Not typically places I'd be checking my pressure.
