I've heard of and seen the Legends cars for years now, but I'd never seen these...  THIS would be fun!       :good:

Midget and Super Midget racing, Gardina Ascot Park in So Cal (some years ago). Maybe I got the class wrong, but way cool and fun to watch....
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

Yeah, I live in the middle of dirt racing country, spent a couple of seasons working on race cars in Steve Kinser's shop, but I'd never seen these.

LEGENDS dirt cars, with FJ / XJR engines, see?

Brook

......Like they say, LOL..... Dirt is for racing- asphalt is to get there!!

It would be a whole lot more fun if it wasn't going round and round in circles.
I've never been able to understand the desire to do that!

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Brook

..... if you have never tryed it,  it would be hard to understand.
on dirt, you actually steer the car with the rear wheels.

Harvy

Brook, done plenty of rally driving in my day, so I know what you mean by steering with the rear end.....but round and round and round.....!!! just can't get excited about that I'm afraid.

Yep, that is the new dirt car they are producing in collaboration with Ray Evernham. My son has driven one and said it was pretty cool, but Jimmy Sills jumped in the car and made everyone else look like they were on a Sunday drive.

We will have to see how they take off over the next couple of years.

I can see that taking off in this part of the country.

There are some nice asphalt tracks here, but a LOT more decent dirt tracks!

Heck, we even have a figure-8 track.

Wonder how fast one of those would be with a set of (sprint car-like) wings on it...  hmmm.
