Hi Fj lovers,
I just bought my 4th FJ. It all started in 1984 when I bought the first one. I fell in love with the bottom end torque. Rode it for 2 years, put 26,000 km and sold it. Had a family. Then I bought an 86 FJ1200 in 1989 with 3,200 on the clock. Got stolen twice. The second time it was never recovered. Parted with it when it had 26,000 km. Then in 2000 I bought another 1986 FJ1200 with 28,000 km. I still own it with 76,000 km now. Second gear requires attention. This one is going up for sale as I've found a darling. I just bought a 1984 FJ1100 with 19,900 on the clock. 3 previous owners. First owner bought in July 1984 and sold in November 2007. The next owners had it for a year. The bike is truly mint condition. Not a mark on it. All plastic is perfect. Only the tires have been changed. I'd post a pic but I don't have that option. I do notice the 1200 has a bit more torque at a lower RPM. The only mods I've done to the bikes were pipes. I'm currently looking to upgrade the calipers and the master cylinder for the front brakes. I may venture to the 17" rear due to tire selection. Other than that I'm happy with the performance as a sport touring machine.

Glad to have found this site as I thought the bike had become a forgotten relic. I want to share what I know and learn what I don't know. I look forward to being a member.

I live in Mississauga, Ontario.

I actually came across it hunting for parts for the 86 FJ12. Purely accidental. I did jump on it right away. :yahoo:
