Carb float numbers...

Hi fellow FJ'ers

I have been putting together a spare set of carbs from a couple of old sets that have been collecting dust in my shed,one of the sets I suspect may off an 1100,and noticed two slightly different variations on the shape of the floats and on the bottom of one of the pair of floats a number with an E prefix...eg E14...E42 etc.Out of the 8 floats none of them have the same E number.Can Anyone fill me in as to the significance, or lack thereoff, these E numbers?
