This may be a simple question but I need to make sure. How do you set the suspension on the 85 1100 up to make it stiffer? I ask because the bike sags considerably with both me and my girlfriend on it (150kg in total).

On the 125 I had all I had to do was turn up the spring rate on the rear shocks, is it the same for the FJ? If so  which direction do I turn? I noticed there is some diometer insider the side ferring under the seat, If I remeber its set to "5". Is this where I set the spring rate?

Please help

There's an adjuster on the right side of the bike just underneath your seat.  A chain runs from the top of the shock to the adjuster.   You turn the adjuster with a spanner clockwise (looking from above) to increase the spring preload.  There's also a "damper" knob that you can turn to various numbers.  Higher numbers are greater damping.
I'm just going on what the book says.  My bike does not have this type of shock adjustment.

You can get an OWNERS MANUAL online from:

http://www.yamaha-motor.com.au   It will have accurate and (almost) complete instructions on how to adjust this.
