I ordered and received mine from the UK web site a few weeks ago. The strength of the Aussie $ at the moment means its a good time for us to import parts. Unfortunetaly they were out of stock of the mounting collars. Picked up my paint yesterday so the next weekends project is taken care off.

Mounting collars? I was just going to drill and bolt on. Is there something I'm missing?

Disregard the previous post. I found what the collars are, but couldn't modify my post in time. I'll make something work. :pardon:

Here I am, sitting in the good ol' USA waiting for my chin scoop to arrive from Beasley Composites. I ordered it about 2 weeks ago and verified I would receive it in time before the day I fly back to Hungary. I called them today, just to check on the status. They said, "Oh yes, it's sitting right here on the shelf. We were waiting for you to call."

ARE YOU SERIOUS??? Then they promised to send it so I would get it by this Friday.THIS IS TIME CRITICAL STUFF.

I also got a handfull of metric hardware at Ace today. I didn't even need to give them my VIN for my bike, like I do in Hungary.

I used the rubber grommets that go on the cam cover, they fit perfectly between the mounting tabs and fairing.

Great idea - thanks. I just happen to have extras. :good2:

I got the chin fairing today. More disappointments. I opened the box to find a banged-up scratched fairing that looks like it was dragged behind a car for 3 miles. The box and packaging were in very good condition, so I assume shipping was not to blame. To add that, when I ordered it, I was told they would sell it to me for $138 instead of $158 because the website price was wrong ($108 - and has still not been changed). Well, you guessed it... I was charged $158 plus $30 for shipping. I'm calling them tomorrow. I would not recommend purchasing from Beasley Composites.

I called Ben today (owner). I told him the situation. He refused to give me a refund of the $20 he overcharged me. VERY poor customer service! I reminded him that his website pricing is way off, that's why we agreed to $138. He said that's why you have to call to order, so he can tell you the "real" price since the listed prices are about 15 years old. I said that was a bad idea, because then the higher price is then a surprize to the customer. He said, "Life is full of surprizes." He also said, "I'm not running a garage sale here. If you don't want it for that price, then buy it somewhere else." His last statement to me was, "That's just the way it is."

I was never disrespectful to him, but those comments kind of shocked me.  :negative:

Just went to look at the Beasley Comp website.  Its good that the 2006 Catalog is NOW AVAILABLE online.
I'd make a formal complaint to the Ohio chamber of commerce and/or the Better Business Bureau in Ohio.
Probably won't get you the $20 back, but it will at least hassle him.

Hey!  Did you give him a credit card for payment?  If so, you can dispute the $158.00 charge (plus shipping) as you only agreed to $138.00 (PS).  That'll get his attention as the whole amount will be charged back against his merchant account and the card company will then investigate.

Cheers,
Arnie

Here's a picture of the completed fairing - painted and installed.

I painted it gloss black, but the dark colors on my bike are actually a deep, deep blue.

I also cut off the rear fender today.
