on the faring there is a lare electrical connector that comes from the left handlebar controls and conects to another large connector on the bike. sometimes my horn wont work and sometimes my turn signal will not work. i mess with this large electrical connector and its wires and the problem will get fixed
so i am looking for where this grounds out figuring i may have a loose ground.
does anyone know where it grounds out and can point me in the right direction?

The wire could be broken inside the insulation...... do you disconnect the connector or just wiggle the wires?  Could be at the other end, also....
If the wire is broken, pulling on it will tell.
