Hello, I have just purchased an 86 fj 1200. It's great to have found a place that is a font of knowledge about the bike. What is cool too is that there are enthusiasts, tinkerers and riders from all over the globe on this site.  Thanks Mark

Welcome. Lots of reading on this site :). I was born in Thomas, OK. My father always knew when he was close to home when saw the red dirt :)
Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

bluesix,
Welcome to the forum! I know all about your neck of the woods, I lived in Tulsa from 1988 until 1997. Not a real bad place to live, in most respects. If you get some free time in the near future and want to ride twisties till you can't stand it, pm me. I live in Clinton, AR, just south of sport bike paradise.  You are correct about this being a fount of FJ knowledge, this crew has been greatly helpful to many out here.
                                                                              Kookaloo, ya'all!

Welcome Mark.  This is indeed a font of FJ knowledge, quite possibly the best collection of FJ knowledge anywhere.

Side note: ANOTHER '86!!!  WTF?  Were the '86's given away as door prizes to the first 30,000 in the dealership door or something?

Dan
Live hardy, or go home.

Welcome to the group Mark!

good to have you on board with us!

86's are more popular... i remember looking at a 85 (and being broke ) justifying the non purchase by thinking to myself " if it was only a 1200 instead of an 1100 "  (i know right ?)

anyway when they came out with the 1200 in 86 it was instantly the bike i (and many others) lusted after constantly.

I'm guessing thats another reason why there are so many of them around.

Greak KOokaloo! any way ya slice'em though  :good2:

Very cool! Another 86' owner named Mark...Welcome and thank you for adding another to the club's growing 86/87 ranks. We love our bikes and helping others keep the Kookaloo flowing....
