Tell you what, how 'bout I try and make amends?

Those Wacky BMW Riders!
What will they think of next?
Now , there's a lot a talk about at the moment regarding the heat when it's summer and, well, its hot.
Damned Hot.
Some of the pansies wilt in the heat, give up riding but not our staunch men of BMW IRON.
No Siree, they just keep on with it.

They've adapted their Zyklon B technology,

Doubles as a colostomy bag too, just 'coz yer getting on a bit doesn't mean you cant keep up with the rest of your mates, you know, stoppin for a crap or your prostates dribbling,

Its a Turd in a Box!

An evaporative cooling vest is all thats needed.... easy to recharge under a faucet and when you're moving its like riding in a A/C equipped car...

http://www.palmflex.com/product.php?productid=1711&cat=205&page=1

its good for tank to tank on the FJ or about 4 hours at speed before its completely dry.

Works off the bike too.

Frank, how the heck does that jacket work if you are wearing a jacket/full suit?

Harvy
FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

open jacket vents and front zipper a bit..... it doesnt take a ton of air for it to work.

+1  It really does work.

Try it out by soaking the front of your shirt with your jacket vents open.

That evap gear holds a lot of water.

yes sweat does the same thing but it also takes water out of your limited personal supply = dehydration

we all know the mind is first thing that goes when you dehydrate  :wacko3:

wearing mesh riding gear just speeds up the dehydration process

the vest keeps you cool using outside source water....thereby helping keep you more mentally focused on those super hot days.

it's always good to be focused when getting your KOokaloo on!

I know this is bringing an old topic back to life, but I'd rather do that then start all over again.  ( And I just wanted to prove to some that the "search" feature does actually work!)

Cycle Gear has this vest on sale this week. -->  http://www.cyclegear.com/spgm.cfm?L1=&L2=&L3=&L4=&item=BLT_6529-S_G I picked one up and soaked it in the sink at the store for about a minute. When I zipped home in the 98 degree Texas weather, I stayed cool the whole way.  I was skeptical that it would work, but it actually does. Indeed it does get your shirt a little wet, but the benifit is worth the price of a wet shirt.  It stayed cool for at least 1 1/2 hours, but then I was done riding.  Seems the price is worth it IMO.   :good2:
Do not argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

in 98 degrees your shirt is going to be wet ...... either by sweat or the cooling vest
