Finally got around to installing these things (on my 86) and I am regretting not installing them earlier. Granted I had some cheap crappy aluminum bar ends before (thanks PO), so the difference might be different moving from real bar ends to these guys, but this is surely the best investment I have put into the old FJ so far.

The difference for me is night and day. The bike was fine below 3500 RPM, but above that, it would vibrate like crazy: http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=2909.0

Installed these and noticed a huge difference right away. Above 3500 RPM there is virtually no vibration through the bars at all. It made a 4 hour ride much more enjoyable. Only problem is, with the vibration before I could tell when I was going really fast...now I can't. I guess that makes it easier to keep up with Doug without feeling so guilty about tripling the speed limit everywhere... :empathy:

Fixed it for ya, and didn't add a single letter. Regarding tripling, I only do that when I'm trying to keep up with Travis. Or that damn FJR.
