Hi all, going to do another brake upgrade, just wondering what the main difference,s are with fjr / xjr/ r1  calipers other than blue silver or gold piston covers
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

84 Fj1100  effie , with mods
( 88 ) Fj 1200  fairly standard , + blue spots
84 Fj1100 absolutely stock standard, now more stock , fitted with Fj12 twin system , no rusted headers for this felicity jayne

I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) the blue dots have slightly smaller diameter pistons than the gold dots.
R1 in 2004 went to radial mount gold dots, but the 2003 gold dots are useable. Pre 2003 were blue dots.
I have had no experience with the silver dots.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

IIRC, the gold dots have different pistons, designed to transfer heat less easily.
