Ok, so I follow all ya'll over here and yes I like the format of this kind of board as well.

Do I really need to introduce myself? Heck I guess I could say "rum cake" and some would know.

I'm also wondering how many other Yahoo's will make the jump over. I know we have a pretty big following over there but  how many owners are actually active to begin with?

Oh heaven's yes Dean, I gotta stay with ya'll. No one else knows how to tell me how to work on my bike or make modifications to it to make it better like this bunch and I'm staying with the core group. Ya'll can't get rid of me that easy. Like one person on here that told me to just send him the parts he would do his magic (& you know who you are) and send them back and all I would have to do is bolt up the rear wheel. The SO didn't believe me, he does now!

I still love my little blue/black FJ, just haven't had as much time this winter to ride as I would like. Even with still not having a job....

No I didn't catch it.

You didn't cheat. I added the Avatar (proof that I attended at least 1 rally...) after eric and frank outed me.

Mike 86 in San Dimas

Mike here. I'm an orignal owner of 86. I never have been much of a modifier, just want ride. Started  riding when I was kid. While other kids were riden mini bikes with lawn mower engines (nothin wrong with that, I remember being jealous of them) my dad, a lifetime rider, had us riding his 1951 Matchless off road. We called it the tank! In high school I comuted on a 250 endurao, then bought my uncles, XS650. Later a KZ 1000, then the FJ. Over 20 years of daily street and pleasure riding. After putting nearly 50K on the FJ I thought I had a serious engine problem which I thoght I could not afford to fix at time (wife and kids are such a drain). Put a tarp on her not realizing it would be over ten years before I would get her revived. As it turned out. I never had serious problem and I am very close to riden regular again. I have done the usual, rebuild carbs, rebuilt brake components, new rubber, and lots of other little things that go bad from lack of use. Next step is replace chains and sprockets. From the few spins I have taken around the block I can see I need to replace fork seals too. I'm sure the next month or two will reveal other issues (I hope not). The bike is bone stock, still looks pretty, I am not much of modifier. Just a shade tree mechanic. I can follow the manuals to do the basic repairs. I live in San Dimas, Los Angeles county. Looking forward to participating with this group.

Bloody hell, only in America would you get a Sheila describing a 1200 CC bike as "Little"
