Penetrating oil comparison

I found an interesting post at the GS forum, figured people should know about it:

Machinist's Workshop magazine actually tested penetrants for break
out torque on rusted nuts. Significant results! They arranged a subjective
test of all the popular penetrants with the control being the torque
required to remove the nut from a "scientifically rusted" environment.

None ..................... 516 pounds

WD-40 .................. 238 pounds

PB Blaster ..............214 pounds

Liquid Wrench ...... 127 pounds

Kano Kroil ............ 106 pounds

ATF-Acetone mix... 53 pounds

ATF is found in any auto section and acetone is cheap at tractor supply

Wow!  So all we need to do is come up with a catchy name and bottle an ATF-Acetone mix and we should be millionaires!  Who's up for it?  I'm too busy...

Since I have both ATF and acetone, I was interested in the mix.  I followed some links and found this in one of copies of the same results test.

*The ATF-Acetone mix was a "home brew" mix of 50% acetone - 50% automatic transmission fluid.*
*Note the "home brew" was better than any commercial product in this one
particular test. Our local machinist group mixed up a batch and we all now
use it with equally good results. Note also that "Liquid Wrench" is about
as good as "Kroil" for about 20% of the price. *

In truth it doesn't matter what you use on the bolt.  Odds are you're going to round the head off anyhow.

Andy- it was left hand thread. Not your fault.
In true oil thread fashion- acetone is acetone, but which ATF? I'm pullin' for type F, since my Fords are well, old.
