I recently needed four shims and looked high and low for the best prices.  Ebay was not bad, just hard to nail some sellers down on what diameter stock they were selling, thickness was never an issue, but postage in some cases was high.

peter stevens motorcycles was expensive, and most other retailers selling the same diameter shims, much of a muchness.

I found "Precision Shims" in Dandenong, Melbourne.  $10 per shim!  I paid with credit card over the phone and received them the next day!  Great service, friendly staff, and the shims were perfect, easy to install.

Thanks for the tip! I bought my last few shims from Yamwreck at $6 each but would have preferred new shims so I'll try Precision next time Yamaha were asking $16.50 a shim which was way to expensive.

The used ones work just as good.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Don't forget I have shims a cheaper prices. While I cannot have them there overnight the savings when having to buy larger quantities might be cheaper than the route you went.
