After eight years and more money than I dare admit I finally am happy with my 1989 FJ. I finally got a Corbin, that and a small sheep skin, one bar end mirror and I am, was, quite content.  I banished all thoughts of selling it, and buying something new. It, after all is very sellable right now, new tires, chain, sprockets, etc.
So, Pandora's box? I was cleaning off the front, getting ready to go to a local bike night when I noticed the right front turn signal plastic was loose. Simple I thought, just snug that one screw. What fell? I thought. There on the ground is the little metal clip tab and of course the plastic that attached it to the fairing.  Two hours later I'm finished epoxying the clip to a larger piece of plastic. Tomorrow I'll attempt to epoxy it to the fairing. I hate plastic bikes.
A neighbor has been wanting to buy my FJ since he saw it. Tonight he could have it at a bargain price.

I know how you feel mate, when I first got mine I went through and snugged up every bolt and screw I could get on to. When I got to the lower windscreen screws I had stopped paying attention and as soon as I gave it the slightest twist "snap" off comes the head. 3 months down the track I finally found a combo of allen head bolts I was happy with to replace em.
Life's pretty straight without twisties.
