Do you Seppos get into Moto GP?
It's on at Le Mans later today, Stoner just got ahead of Simoncelli for pole, less than 0.06 seconds separating them.

Stoner is not that popular in Australia, he's seen a a whinging sooky la-la.
Simoncelli and Rossi are popular,Simoncelli for his hair and Rossi because, well, he's Rossi.

I reckon they should bring back the biff.

Got the DVR set to record it, plus the Moto2 race.  Hoping Spies can get somewhere at this race.  If Casey beats the piss-ant Pedrosa, I'll be happy.

Hey,

Spies and Rossi set identical times in qualifying tied for 8th.  Even Cal Crutchlow got 6th, right behind Lorenzo.  Looks like the Hondas are going to dominate this weekend.  Simoncelli is real surprising but crashes alot.  Also a real aggressive rider.  He'll win at least one race this year if he can stay on the bike.  Reminds me of a certain Keven Schwantz I use to enjoy watching.  But a bit more reckless.

Should be a good one Sunday.

+1 on that and remove some of the electronics, just to make it fair.  I'll bet that certain riders would not fair so well without them.

AMA Racing in NoCal this weekend.  Hayes and DiSalvo won Saturday.  Can't wait to catch that action.

K-man, I still have that race on the DVR, with Rossi puting the inside move on Rossi in 8A.  Ballsiest move I've ever seen at the corkscrew, including the guy I saw doing handstands thru there after he low-sided his RD350 (track tour before the 90-91-92 Superbike race, IIRC).  That was a great race and Stoner cemented his whiner standing (for me) with his post race bitch-session.

So; yes, some of us Yanks watch MotoGP.   :yahoo:

SWEET!
Reckon that you could bring the DV to the Rally?

Oh, yeah, apparently Stoner has tried to punch De Puniet for being French or something.

Stoner was wrong to push or punch de Punet.  dealing with back markers is part of racing and qualifying.  It is disappointing to see Stoner do shit like that and shows he is still immature.

Simoncelli needs to learn a lesson I think. If you get into an incident several times... what is the common denominator? You were there every time- this is moving beyond coincidence.

If he gone around Pedrosa and had a clean line to make the corner that might have been different. But he went late and outside casting caution to the wind- it cost both riders.  If you asked him if he would do it again he would say "no".  It cost him some points but may well have ended Dani's title chase- Simoncelli should have to wait for Pedrosa to heal before he is allowed to race too....

Something about the Italians and their desire to win...  Rossi's late braking dive under Stoner at Jerez was the same type of thing- just biting off way to much and no care for the repercussions-  they want the win so badly- they are so competitive they end up making a bad choice (a dangerous one).  Pedrosa could have died over that BS.

I was pissed at Rossi for taking out Stoner and I am pissed at Simoncelli for being a "safety concern" AGAIN....  he is the one that should have gotten punched!

I think Simoncelli was a jerk for taking out Pedrosa.  I noticed on the slo-mo replay that Simo went waaaay wide into the next turn, over the rumble strip and perhaps into the dirt.  That CANNOT be a "clean pass".  And Simo says "What??? I didn't do anything wrong".    Maybe if someone took him out in a similar fashion he might change his tune.  Of course, some might say that this was Pedrosa payback for taking out Hayden in 2006 ...

Didn't see the Stoner-dePuniet incident and the Brit commentators only politely referred to 'an incident'.

If it were anyone else, you probably could say, "okay, you made a mistake, we'll let it go".  But Super Sic crashes every damn race and has made many questionable moves.  I don't like Pedrosa, but he got screwed.

Its Racing. Not a group hug therapy session.  and a "clean pass" is a rare find.
