Wiring diagram for a 1988 Canadian FJ1200

Hello: I've got an '88 FJ up here in Canada and have some questions about wiring issues. When I stripped the bike, I found a couple of unused wiring connectors, a nine pin and an eight pin. Round pins, not the usual blade type. It's possible they might not be used because the bike ran fine as it was, but I'm thinking they're there for some reason.
As far as my Clymer manual is concerned, the bike doesn't exist since '88's weren't imported stateside and the UK models don't seem to correspond to my harness. I tried the local dealer but their books don't go back far enough.
I'm hoping there's another Canuck out there with an owner's or Yamaha shop manual for an '88 or a lead to a wiring diagram. If you exist, please let me know at:    sleaner@hotmail.com
Or, if anybody knows how to pry the info out of Yamaha, send it along.
                  Thanks,   Peter

You can probably look at the 89 diagram.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Peter, I have a Yamaha factory diagram. I took a picture and will send it to you high res.
What part of the great white north are you in?

Problem solved thanks to Kevin. Where I live is more like the Great Wet West - Victoria. My kid's in Ottawa though. Rode my 87 FJ there and back a couple of years ago - one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done. We're heading there again in August for a month or so - no bike though. Peter

Glad it worked out. If you are ever out this way with a ride, let me know.
