I have a constant weep of oil dropping onto exhaust collector box - have taken off gear change cover - appears to be coming from around the gear change shifter - any easy solution?

If memory serves correctly, the seal on the gear change shaft housing can be changed from the outside.

Take a look at this thread.....

Check your clutch slave cylinder.  It has the same behavior.  BTDT!

Ok - thanks - you are right - coming from the clutch slave cylinder - is this likely to deteriorate and how easy to remedy ?

Likely???  Very, just look at all the FJs w/o a lower fairing.  You can get a refurb kit and/or a replacement cylinder from Randy at RPM .  Flush before you remove the cylinder, so the rebuilt does not refill with old fluid.
