i have cleaned out my carbs witch were full of rust, then went to clean fuel tank.

i put some diluted hydrochloric acid in and left for half an hour, when i came back they was a bad smell of acid burning through my bench.

Looking closer the paint had bubbled at bottom left side of tank, removing the paint revealed 2 small pin holes

what are my options

anyone got a dark blue black 1988 1200 good tank close to melbourne victoria australia

i and so annoyed becuase it was the last think left to do before i went for a road worthy and i had spent heaps on it already

Depends on how much work you're willing to do.  Brazing would fix it, prolly.

Bigger question is if there's a pinhole there, how many near-pinholes are there?  Last thing you need is a leakin tank going down the road.  Some would suggest replacing the tank, some will suggest using a lining product on it (i.e., Kreem) after fixing the existing hole.  Up you you, really.
