Does anybody know where I can get the paint codes, or aftermarket color codes, for my 1988 FJ1200?
It is black and silver, but the silver takes on a definite bronze hue in most lights. The two blue colours of the strips are needed as well as I will paint them on rather than source stickers when I respray at the end of this year. That way I can get several coats of clear on the whole bike.

Sorry, forgot to add, I know there are threads on this, but unless I've missed it, the 1988 isn't exactly mentioned. Probably because I believe that year model wasn't released in the US. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

That's right, and that color scheme never came to the US at all, AFAIK.

is your avatar an 88?  I think Randy is right. I have never seen that color.

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Richard,

1988? The bike in your avatar is a '92/3 (I'm pretty sure). Yamaha called the silver/bronze "Wet Pale Brown"

from the German FJ group:
