Hey Guy's,

I've been wondering around here for a week or so.
Now that I've actually bought an FJ100 I'd thought I'd say G'day.

I live in a remote town called Broome, located in the North West of Australia.
I currently own 82 RD350LC, 83 RZ350YPVS, 88 RZ250YPVS, 99 YZF1000 R1 and NOW a 84 FJ1100.

I was concidering buying a mates bike and thought I'd do some research, thats when I stumbled upon your site. I found all I needed to know and finally decided to go ahead and buy it. Well it is almost Christmas.

It's the 1st bike of this kind I've owned let alone ridden and I must say it's quite alot different to my other bikes, but a great addition to my growing collection of Old Skool Yamaha's.
I'm going to use it for short trips to near-by towns like Kununurra, it's just under 1000km's North and to visit a mate who works on a cattle station about 450km's North of Broome.

My bike is an 84 FJ1100 with 39000km on the clock. I do suspect that it may have been around the clock once before going on the appearance of it.
I have heard that they are a pretty bullet proof engine, so I'm hoping she'll hang in there for a while yet.

I'll post up some photo's of my bike(if I can figure out how to) from around the Kimberley as I take some short trips.

Cheer's and to all have a Merry Christmas and get out there and ride em, weather permiting ofcourse

G'Day Benno,
Welcome to the site.
Did the bike come up from Dampier?
Bloody hell, riding a bike this time of year gets warm and the flies are a bit friendly in Broome let alone up the road to Kun ,eh?
Whack a set of skinny tyres on it and they go alright in the dirt.
The Balanggarra mob up your way too,eh?
"This guy has got to go. The single most offensive individual I have experienced on the web.

G'day Benno and welcome to the tribe!

Seems many FJ owners have "other" bikes in common..... more than a few of us have or have had RZ's

i still have my 85 RZ350YPVS.

gotta love the little smokers but as you have found the roll on torque of the FJ is very addictive and for sure capable of munching up some serious miles/km's

KOokaloo!
