I went with http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/4109.pdf for the 85 FJ1100,they even have the 84 and 85 set up diferent I thought they would be the same.
Went out in 6:00 pm traffic and she seems to run good.I wonder what cold starts will be like and what mpg I will get.So far she seems good.

Looked at the trans gears I bought a few weeks ago,I counted the teeth on the gears to see if they were 1100 or 1200 gears.I also counted the teeth on my rear sprocket to see if I had stock gearing.17/40 sprockets and undercut 1100 gears.

You are correct #s are stamped on there.I might go with the 18/38 chain and sprocket combo when I get my undercut gears installed.Bike has not needed a jump since Sunday so possibly she is tuned close enough to start without draining the battery so my starting issues would be fixed too.I will need to do the clutch she will slip when the grip gets twisted hard.Forks are super soft they need work.I got shift forks and a drum with the gears what else will I need to have when I do the trans gear swap.I saw the 2nd gear fix write up and I know I will need a couple off tools I was wondering if there was something else I was missing.

Today I built my 99 GP1200 motor and installed it as well.Should be about 165 hp.I need a Illinois sticker and some gas and she is ready for break in.The 97 needs a sticker too.I got a package UPS today 2 windshields for the bike  :good: I will put one on the bike in the a.m. I ran out of time after droping the motor in the waverunner.I installed a wall socket a light switch and a series of lamps in the bathroom as well.

Over achiever...... :ireful:
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Waverunner fired up and sounds bad ass.Had a garage full of 100 octane exhaust fumes to sniff lol...
She is a nasty girl I will get a sticker for her and then I will go abuse her.
I have a bunch of carb parts coming for the FJ1100 including some carb slides and diaphragms.I lowered my needles 1/2 a slot or 1 washer and she runs better but the pinhole in the diaphragm has her still rough at low rpm mostly at idle.

Scott, maybe let it run in the garage for a good long while with your troublesome neighbor there to keep an eye on things. Make sure you close the door so nobody else is bothered by the noise. Enough carbon monoxide in the blood and he might become a motorhead like you!

My 99 is one of the fastest 97-99 GP1200 in the country as far as I know.Once I get her broke in i will be looking for a RXP 215 hp or a RXPX 255 hp to race.
It should be close I think I can win if I can get a good holeshot.Power to weight ratio should be about the same.My ski wants to get airborne out of the hole its hard to hook up.I wish my FJ1100 would lift the front end like my GP1200 does.

just make sure you have a sticky rear tire, my 16" bias plys would just spin!

I need to go to the river and break in my race motor for my 1999 GP1200 the 97 and 99 go into storage in October.
If you want to see some video there is some youtube video of the 99 before I put the ported cylinders on her.

Hand held GPS jumped out of my pocket about a week ago and got destroyed.
I have put 6000 miles on the FJ1100 and Friday I parked her and have redone the trans and am ready to reinstall the engine as soon as i get the clutch basket bolted back on etc.I will take some pics of the trans damage and post them in the gallery when i am done.
