what tires are still available for stock rims?

I have been having a hard time finding a front & rear match for my 91.  I have been using D-205 on my 89 and 91 for the past 12 years but they are no longer made.  Any suggestions?

I'm running the Avon's now, seem to be pretty good. Metzler also has an option, as do a few others.

I really struggled to find a "matching" set of tires for my '93.  They'd make a correct rear, but not a matching front and visa versa.  I ended up with Avon's
but different model (whatever) of tires front & rear.  I think they both start with the letter A.  I know the rear was Avon Azaro Sport Touring 150/80ZR-16

Thanks for the input. Next set I will give radials a try. Just wondered if it was safe to run them on a bike that did not have them originally. Hated to spend $ on an experiment.

I am running the Avon Azaro's AV45/46 set up on my 86'. I like the sporty rides in the mountains here in SoCal so I am hard on the front tire. Unless you talk to Simi_Ed, he thinks I ride like a granny and gets passed by Ducs with passengers. See my post on when I wore out my first front Avon http://www.fjowners.com/index.php?topic=287.msg2088#msg2088. I don't scrape the pegs but I feel confident that these Avons will take you there. At my current rate of tire consumption I will go through 3 fronts to each rear. Better to pay for sticky than to pay for leather and plastic. I almost bought the Demons but the Avons were in stock. The Demons should also be great tire. How you ride will determine what tires will work the best for you. If you mostly commute on the freeway and don't lean over much I can sell you my fronts when I'm done with them (half price). You can also choose a longer lasting tire if you do more touring than sport. Keep us posted on what you get and you opinions on them. That kind of feedback is one of things that makes this group great.
