I was wondering what is the latest year of the gsxr rear wheel mod that you can do with out any machining?I know the late 80's there isnt any,but just wondering about the early 90's.That would be the 5.5x17 rim.
THANKS

91-92 GSXR1100 wheel is popular as it looks very similar to the stock 89 (88) front wheel.

Whatever you do, do not intentionally saddle yourself with the cleaning woes of white wheels.  Man what a PITA....

Fortunately, there is Simple Green, but still, they pretty much need to be cleaned after just a ride or two to keep looking decent.  Way to onerous for me, and yet there they sit on my Gixxer, only because I'm too cheap to buy a replacement set of black wheels.

Could be worse.  Don't polish them...  :dash2:

So the 91 and 92 rims will work with no machine work.

The 1990-1992 GSXR 750 and 1100 wheels are 17x5.5" and have the same Suzuki part # 1110763. Definitely try to find the parts together from one bike- wheel, cush drive, sprocket, bearing spacers, rotor, caliper, caliper bracket, caliper arm. I spent a great deal of time getting incorrect parts for my swap! Mine is polished and I agree, paint would save a lot of time on cleaning.
