Getting ready to install the FJR1300 front brake master cyl. on my 1200 but I'm wondering about hooking up the brake light control switch as the plug that fits the FJ1200 master will not fit the FJR1300 master.
I did not get the wiring harness plug with the FJR1300 master.
Looked on the microfish to see if I could buy it from Yamaha - no luck.  Was wondering what solutions some of the rest of you had come up with for this problem.
I thought about soldering the wires directly to the connector pins on the switch but was worried the heat might damage the switch, also looks like a tough job - trying to solder in that small space.
Had the same issue with the clutch side when I installed the FJR1300 clutch master. just left the clutch safty switch unhooked - not the best idea I know.

Thanks

u can cut one side of the stock connectors off (wire cutters/tin snips/really good scissors).... leaving you one U shaped side to fit onto the mini pins.  adjust the U so its a nice snug fit onto the mini pins and you wont have any problem with them coming off

least thats what i did    :good2:
