Hello fellow Yamaha FJ owners. Nice place you have here. I'm the original owner of a 1990 FJ1200.  I found this forum while doing a search looking for rear wheel modifications. Great information! Thanks!

Looking forward to hearing and sharing information and experiences with you all.   :bye:

Thanks.  I'm going with the YZF600 conversion. I got a wheel with a near new Metzler SportTech 3 tire 170/60, rotor, sprocket carrier/cush drive and sprocket off eBay ( gonna use my old sprocket). I also got the caliper bracket off eBay. I had to order the outer wheel spacers from my dealer. I'm going to replace the wheel bearings just to be safe. Got them from an industrial supply house. (cheaper then OEM). My spacers should be here Friday and I'll take the necessary parts to be machined to the machine shop I have lined up. Hopefully I'll have my bike back on the road early next week.
