Hi all, im looking at a 1988 Fj1200. This is the Colour scheme below. I have not seen this before, does anyone know if its original?..I have emailed the seller asking if he knows.  im a bit dubious from what i have seen previously.. Any advice greatly appreciated.

The main fairing looks to be the OEM paint and decals. The color is a very, very dark Metallic Blue with the Gold decals. The rest of the bike has aftermarket paint.

You can find replacement plastics to match the original color on the main fairing on ebay so if you like the bike otherwise don't let the looks deter you.

G'day tunza, Not original as others have said.

Probably should look like
1984 FJ1100
1979 Kawasaki Z1300
1972 Honda CB750/4 K2

Millietant

As the others have said, the fairing looks original, but the rest of the bodywork has been repainted.

It's unfortunate that you're in Australia, as I have some spare bodywork in that colour scheme, but as others have said, they also come up on eBay quite regularly (if not often). The paintwork will hurt the sellers asking price, but I'd just use that as a negotiating tactic if the rest of the bike is sound. They're tough, reliable, old beasts. :good2:
