Long time forum newbie, long time rider, and part time wrench.  I've had my 92 FJ1200 since 2016.  Had a local guy clean and "rebuild" the carbs.  Never did run well and sat parked for years.  I got into the carbs last week and did a basic cleanup, co jetting, etc.  Bike started and ran but appeared choke tubes were stuck.  I've removed carbs 3 & 4 and cleaned them well.  Choke plungers now work well.  My problem is now I can't get carb 4 fittings to go together. I got new correct $$$ O rings and have now buggered them up.  Is there a trick to reassembly I'm missing?

I use a little lube on o-rings when assembling things. Parker O-Lube (https://skygeek.com/parker-o-lube-o-ring-lube.html) is what I use. It does wonders for o-rings.

Thank You.  My error here was putting the wrong connector between carb 2 and 3.  I looked at it with a fresh head this morning and 5 minutes later, had both carbs and their connectors positioned right.  The carbs went together and all is good.  I typically use a fine oil on the O-rings during assembly, but other lubes will work as we.
