Hi,

I'm trying to remove my starter motor, but I can't get it out. I followed the Haynes manual, but although I can wiggle it, it won't come out. According to Haynes I just "lift it up sligthley and slide it out." Well, no luck so far. :-( . Any suggestions? I already removed the alternator to have more room.

Open up your ignition cover, put a socket on the rotor nut and rotate the crank counter clockwise...see if that frees things up.

The O-ring has been stuck in the case for some time now. I had gently pry/wiggle the starter away from the case.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.
