FJ Owners,
I recently picked up a donor '93 FJ1200 in Tennessee. The bike was wrecked & totaled by the Insurance Co.   This '93 has supplied a few important replacements/spares for my '86 but there are many items that are either non-compatible with my '86 or I really don't need.   I'd also like to re-coop a bit of my out-of-pocket to buy additional items my '86 needs (i.e new SS Brake Lines from RPM).  It will also get the bride off my butt  :yahoo:

I will describe the items to the best of my ability and not falsify anything.  I've a good bit of experience with restoring bikes so I have some idea what these things are worth, but I'm generally going to ask about half what I see folks asking for on Evil-Bay.   If you think the price I'm asking far out-of-line, tell me why & make a different offer.  Maybe we can reach an agreement.

As I strip the parts I'll keep adding them to this listing, as required by the board I will post when something is sold......  Here Goes:

1993 Mikuni Carb Set - Look absolutely beautiful, the best piece on this donor bike.    Probably need a little cleaning (I would) but these appear to have been professionally rebuilt and probably installed very recently before the crash.  I see absolutely nothing broken not even a messed up screw head.  Insides look clean as a whistle....(but again a little wash wouldn't hurt).   $225 +ACTUAL Shipping.   I'll send them overseas if requested.  I'll send more photos of any part of them you like.... Send a PM.

1993 Ignitor TD14-90 A - With Front Harness, All Relays & Boost Sensor  All the connectors are good (none broken), no frayed, no modified, or broken wires.  Yamaha Part # 4CR-82580-00 on the harness. $100 +ACTUAL Shipping.

1993 Front Fender - Heat damage on Rear Section All Tabs Good - The fender has some scratches in the front and rear sections, Heat Damage to the rear.  All Mounting tabs intact but I see a small crack developing in the left tab of the rear section, looks like the PO put a dab of superglue on it but it is solid.  I have no idea what to ask for this (although I know I pad far too much for the one I got from Europe).  If I hadn't bought that one this would be on my bike.  Please just make an offer....

As I pull stuff off that is good and serviceable I'll post it up.  If there is something you need from a '93 ask.... I might have it...

Sincerely,
Kurt

Transmission? Output shaft assembly is what I need.

In fact, the transmission and shift forks would be ideal.

Skip the forks, I'd go new on those.

FJ Owners,
Just wanted to provide an update and post a couple final items.  It turns out the donor bike is going to keep several other bikes on the road and/or replace missing or broken items for a couple guys.  Although it was a PITA driving ~250 miles (ONE WAY) to get this wrecked piglet, then tearing it all down and tossing much of it in the trash.  I've pretty much covered my time & expenses and have the chin spoiler I was really after.

Obviously, I'm new to the FJ community with the majority of my bikes and experience being the XS1100's, and the XJ series.  However, I am familiar with some of the various parts that are hard to find and sometimes keep a bike parked.  I also like defraying the cost of my hobby a little as well..... also keeps the wife happy as she sees a LITTLE coming back into the accounts - LOL

SOLD ITEMS:

  • Front Forks - Somewhere in Canada
  • Instrument Cluster - Also Somewhere in Canada
  • Front Fender - Australia
  • Full Transmission - Missouri
  • Carbs - Missouri
  • Body Side Covers - Georgia
  • Misc. Brake Lamp Parts - Kansas

Although much of this bike went to the metal recycle center (frame, cylinders, rims, damaged upper case) there are a few items I retained that I assume would be of value to some.

Still Available Parts For Sale

  • ECM w/Harness and all relays, boost sensor, etc. - $100 + Ship FIRM  Kinda surprised no one wanted a spare ECM....
  • Full Wiring Harness - Previous Owner modified the horn wires & generator plug otherwise all connectors and wiring good.  $50+Ship OR MakeOffer.
  • ABS System - Motor/Pump, F&R Sensors, Control Unit - $100+ Ship OR MakeOffer
  • Fuel Tank - THe tank has a couple dings in it and will need a little body work.  I'm considering keeping it and fixing it as a spare for myself.   Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is a way to incorporate a vacuum petcock on this later model tank.   If anyone knows of a way, please let me know.  It is dinged up but my experience with old Yamahas is that tanks tend to be really hard to come by so having a spare for myself seems a wiser move than selling it.   If someone wants it, $100 + ship will certainly persuade me to let it go.
  • Other misc. parts: Front Rotors, Clutch, Ignition Pick-Up, Trees & Bars, Etc. - Ask - Although the remains are limited, I may have it.
