What years were FJ1200s available in RWB color scheme?  I ask because the J Wood auction house has a large MC auction in Nashua NH on May 8th and they have a picture of one but no details.  The color scheme reminds me more of a classic Honda...repaint?

Are you referring to the "Pink Stripe" model ??? - I think it was a 91-92 model over here, might have been registered in 93 in some places.

The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

I looked on the auction site Monkey and the only FJ I could see was a pink-striper -
I initially though the bike the question was asked about might have been the early R/W/B FJ 11 - must admit I never viewed my 86 1TX Ambo as a R/W/B, just R/W   and we never got the colour scheme in the zombie ad.

I *think* I recall someone saying that this FJ1100 color was only a JDM offering (Japanese Domestic Market)
This was many many years ago

Until today, I did not know the r/w/b FJ1200's even existed.

I've never seen one of those here Fred. When I bought by 1TX in June 1986, I went through everything there was available about the FJ 1200 with the dealers around Manchester and no-one ever showed me that option. The official Yamaha advertising sheets on the 1TX for '86 didn't have that colour option in them either - I think that if that colour had been shown to me, I definitely would have chosen it over my ambo.

I think the one in the link might be a German market bike - the reg plate on the ZZR 1100 next to it looks like a German plate - so it does look like that scheme was available in mainland Europe.
