I asked this earlier, but I suppose it went below radar.
Is it possible to remove the spring on a stock rear shock absorber?

So yesterday I removed one of the springs from the fork to be able to send it to the factory as a template, along with the instructions for the new ones regarding strength and length. The OEM one is still within wear limit (380mm) after 31k kilometers.
I'll post the pics and updates as the thing progresses.

Here they are:

A bit more expensive than initially said - 45 USD. Installation during weekend.  :gamer:

$45 for the pair? That's a good price. Let us know how they feel.

Yes, for pair.  :dance2:
I sure will report on this. I'm eager to assemble it and try it, but I've got no time during the week. And there are rear wheel bearings I need to change etc. etc.

Springs are on the bike!  :yahoo:
Factory said they will make it 15% harder on preload, but I must say they feel much much better than 15%.  :good2:
Even with two up no bottoming out on hard braking. Along with 15W fork oil, the change is really noticeable. It actually seems like I will need to put the preload on 1 (on 2 right now) just to see how it is.

Since Bezmozek made me think of this again I see I'm due to report on the springs. I've put 7000 km on the springs and they still feel as good as the first day. Preload on 1, damping on 2 with 15W oil. I haven't measured them, but I will when the time comes to change the oil or something else.
